Even in the darkest moments, you are not alone.

This is a true story of loss, doubt, and the discovery that God is always present—even when we can’t see Him.

I began writing simply to survive—trying to make sense of a life that no longer made sense. At the time, it felt like everything was falling apart. I questioned my faith. I wondered where God was. But looking back, I see something I couldn’t see then: He was there all along.

Please..... STOP

For just a moment-

I'm here because I know what it's like to wonder if life will ever make sense again.

If you're carrying burdens that seem too heavy, or you're beginning to believe you've been abandoned, I'd like to share what I learned through my own journey.

My hope is that when you leave here, you'll know one thing:

You are not abandoned.

About the Author

My name is Randy Trudeau.

For nearly four decades, I served as a Physician Associate, caring for people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I believed I understood hardship—until life began testing me in ways I never imagined.

Over the years, I faced challenges that shook my faith, tested my resilience, and left me questioning where God was in the middle of it all.

Looking back, I realize those experiences were not the end of my story. They became the beginning of a deeper understanding of God's faithfulness.

I don't claim to have all the answers.

I simply want to share what I learned in the hope that it encourages someone else who is walking through a difficult season.

If my story helps even one person realize they have not been abandoned, then every step of the journey has been worthwhile.

It Could Always Be Worse is more than a memoir. It is an honest account of what can happen when life changes in ways we never expected.

Through seasons of loss,illness, disappointment, unanswered questions and overwhelming hardship, I wrestled  with doubt, searched for meaning,  mand slowly came to recognize something I couldn't see in the middle of the struggle;

God had never abandoned me.

This book is not about pretending life is easy.

It is about discovering that hope can still be found, even when circumstances seem impossible.

My hope is that every reader will close this book with a renewed sense of courage, a deeper appreciation for God's faithfulness, and the confidence to keep moving forward-no matter what challenges they may face.
